Differences between Motocross and Cyclocross Motocross

Motocross races are held outdoors on the artificial routes with extreme and complex obstacles that require jumping skills. Riders have to compete in two races and the results determine the real winner. Each race lasts for 30 minutes. Motorbikes that are used in the motocross races are equipped with 250cc and 450cc engines. They are considered to be the best. Cyclocross Cyclocross means races on bikes. Usually, these races happen in winter or in autumn. Racers have to overcome barriers, sandpits, hills, grass, wooden trails, and other obstacles. Sometimes riders even have to carry their bikes. Races can last from 30 minutes to one hour. The length of the race is from 2,5 km to 3,5 km. Special bikes are used for cyclocross, they have a unique design. A cyclocross bike frame has to be light because the sportsmen have to carry their bikes during the race. A cyclocross racer can get a mechanic assistance during the race and they are even allowed to change a bike.
